I choose this article because I wanted to analyze the difference in laptops over a span of 15 years. 15 years ago, good quality laptops weighed over 5 pounds. These laptops only lasted a couple of hours and were very limited in their abilities compared to current laptops. The drastic steps that laptops have made can be seen by what he is analyzing. The keyboards are a major part of the laptops. He also talks about processors and how the laptops are becoming lighter and faster.

Nowadays, my outdated iPhone 6 can do just as much, if not more, than the average laptop in 2004. Technology has advanced so far to the point that a screen in my pocket can get me in contact with anyone in the world. Not only can iPhones contact everyone, almost everyone over the age of 10 has one of these powerful devices. 15 years ago, not everyone had a personal laptop and relied on flip phones, unlike today’s world. Currently, technology is advancing at such a fast and drastic rate that we never have a moment today to savory the advancements made. People’s faces are being analyzed by computers and these computers can make choices that make us happier or more depressed. The advancement of Artificial Intelligence is the edge of technology today. In 15 years, where will we be? Will we have implants that allow users to have access to all information via chips. Or are we going to have technology advance so far that leads to an extinction level event, “The Terminator”? The advancements from 2004 to now could not have been known and the advancements 15 years out from today will change the way we live like the past 15 years did. Overall, the advancements from the past 15 years have been drastic and changed the ways we lived. How are the next 15 years going to change society?
